A Better Stormwater Solution

Stormwater is water that comes from rainfall and snow or ice melt. It is a valuable resource, and current regulations require that a certain amount of stormwater is allowed to soak into the soil rather than run off of paving and roofs into the storm sewer system. The City of Omaha has established grading, soil, and planting requirements for the site that ensure proper stormwater infiltration.

The Colina is partnering with the city of Omaha to research and develop low input, affordable, and effective strategies to alleviate soil compaction, improve infiltration and nutrition in urban soils, and effectively build and manage stormwater sites.
